Jane Fonda facing hard time finding film work

London: Veteran actress Jane Fonda is facing a hard time finding work since she has put her foot down against stereotypically 'dour' roles. The 70-year-old, who announced her retirement in 1991, had made a comeback in 2005 with the comedy 'Monster-in-Law' and was expecting to be flooded with roles. Instead, the actress, who played the part of a vamp mother-in-law in the movie, is disappointed with offers for similar roles. While speaking to 'More' magazine, Jane said that the roles are "either dour, or less interesting versions of the shrewish mother-in-law," reports the Daily Express. The Academy Award-winning star further feared that she might have reached the end of her acting career even though she still wants to continue film-making. She said: "I am too old to produce, because it takes years. I can't. But I really do want to make movies."
